We have found a great place stay

So we went to our first Brazilian mall and it was huge, we had dinner at the food court with Dre his brother Anderson and his son Gu. Ella and Gu had fun together his is four and they already fight like brother and sister over toys. We were going to stay in a hotel here in São Paulo but Anderson has an extra room in his apartement so Dre insist we stay here, he lives about a block away from Dre and his parents so it is all close. That is nice. Today we slept in til 10:45 and is now about 1pm and we are planning on going out, we are going to see a little square near Dres place and then head to the center of São Paulo before going to the Capoeira academy for class today and see lots of people we know. Well we need to get things together to head out so we will write more later. Just know we are enjoying ourselves and are staying safe. Oh yeah this weekend we are going to go with Andres family to there uncles country house, so that should be fun.

Chegamos

So, we've arrived safely in Brazil, and have been hanging out with Andre's family. His mom cooked us an amazing lunch, and Shelley is currently taking her second nap, and Ella her first. The flights were pretty easy, Ella fell asleep during the second one, from Houston to Sao Paulo, as did Shelley. I could not fall asleep, and got maybe an hour our so of sleep. But it's exciting to be here, and my Portuguese is coming back. Ella likes it a lot, because Andre's mom likes to play with her, and there is a little dog as well. We've basically just been relaxing and tomorrow we'll start seeing stuff and figuring out our next move. I'm really tired and I think I might take a nap, so this will be all for now.

How Ella ruined Mother's Day

Okay, so she didn't really ruin it, but it was pretty funny. Matt, Ella and I were at Target, and Matt was looking at sunglasses. Ella had to try on every pair before Matt could, so I tried to distract her by having her look at watches with me. I wanted to get a watch for Shelley for mother's day. So we looked, Matt got his glasses, and we left.
Later that night, we were at dinner and Ella says "Mommy, your video watch is broken?" She calls all watches video watches because that's what Deigo wears. Shelley was of course confused, because her watch had broken a while ago, which is why she needed a new one. So I tried to get Ella to cool it by telling her yes it was broken and then asking her about her food or something. So a couple minutes goes by and then Ella says "Mommy, Daddy needs to get you a new video watch?" completely blowing the surprise. So I gave the watch to Shelley on friday, and she liked it a bunch. But it was hilarious how Ella just randomly brought it up like that. No more secrets for her.
In other new's I've started to work at the school district doing Yard Supervision, watching the kids outside in the morning and at recess. It's really easy, the kids are pretty funny, and it gets us some extra money. We're going to get our visas next week, now that we have all of Ella's shot information.
